Beginning in Ambleside, we'll meander through the enchanting Skelghyll Wood, characterized by its lush greenery and tranquil atmosphere. As we ascend towards High Skelghyll, we'll be granted breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and Lake Windermere.
Continuing onwards through Low Fold, we'll saunter through picturesque valleys and quaint hamlets, providing glimpses into rural life in the region. The journey takes walkers through Troutbeck, a charming village nestled amidst rolling hills and snake-like streams, offering opportunities to rest, snack, and re-hydrate.
The highlight of the trek is the ascent to Wansfell Pike just in time for sunset; a prominent peak that rewards hikers with sweeping vistas of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. The summit serves as a perfect spot simply to soak in the awe-inspiring scenery.
